Del Karfonta Founder and CEO

Mr. Del D. Karfonta, a bank executive, has held several leadership positions both in corporate and non profit organizations. As chairman of various non profit organizations, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to overcome great obstacles through connecting corporate CEOs and community leaders together for a united mission. His efforts supporting collaborative contributions is the foundation and vision that launched GreenConnected. Only the sum of all the parts can make the real difference in saving the environment. Mr. Karfonta holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and has numerous civic, business, and community citations.
   
John Bruns Executive Vice President and COO

John Bruns specializes in teaching children with dyslexia while maintaining an active interest in the development of the Green world. As a young entrepreneur, John worked as a landscaper and corporate graphic artist, obtaining his B.A. in English from Wake Forest University and M.S. in Education at Johns Hopkins University. While designing and implementing the community of GreenConnected, John volunteers writing and directing musicals for high schoolers at his local church. Mr. Bruns met Del Karfonta one afternoon while changing his tire along the side of a road, and immediately discovered a shared concern for the future of youth in our country.
   
Andrew Buck Executive Vice President and CTO

Andrew Buck is a software engineer with experience in a wide variety of projects including website programming, submarine simulators, aircraft monitoring, unmanned aerial vehicle photography, and myoelectric prosthetic limbs. He learned to program at an early age and has not stopped since, earning a B.S. in computer science from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. Andrew has always been excited about living sustainably and using technology to work towards environmental change.
   
Amy Karfonta Executive Vice President of Marketing

Amy Karfonta brings over 10 years of marketing, public relations, and development experience to GreenConnected.  She has spent most of her career working at not for profits including a major hospital system in Maryland.  Amy earned a B.S. in communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  Her contributions and interest in the Green movement begins with her family, where she is striving to make choices that will have a positive impact for the future of her children and many generations to come.  Her goal is that, by the end of 2008, all businesses and households will have made a 75% change in their every day activitities that affect the environment.
   
Darwyn Kelley Sales and Research

Darwyn Kelley brings over 40 years of sales, consulting, and technology research in the computer industry to Green Connected. Working alongside Dr. J. Prespert Eckhardt and Dr. Grace Hopper, world renowned mathmematician, Darwyn was commissioned to write about the history of computers after employment with Southeast Bank Corporation, CPT in Baltimore, Honeywell, and Sperry Univac. Kelley has experienced the incredible transformation in computers, from the $1MIL UNIVAC I to the $500 laptops that are 1500 times more powerful today, and he sees major potential for technology to revolutionize a global approach to environmental issues.
   
Kelly Fields Contributing Writer, PowerGreen

Kelly Fields works at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. She is currently obtaining her M.S. in applied physics from Johns Hopkins University and has an interest in alternative energy. She obtained her B.S. in aerospace engineering and astronomy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
