T. J. Mullen
President, Management Products, Inc.
Biography
T. J. Mullen is the president and co-founder of Best Management Products (BMP), Inc. BMP manufactures and designs low-cost structural components for stormwater quality management. Mullen holds a US and Canadian patent on the SNOUTĀ® stormwater quality system. BMP's products can be found in more than 35,000 installations in North America and are used by the Federal Government, United States military facilities, State Government, Universities, and Fortune 500 companies. He is a frequent speaker on water quality topics, sustainable stormwater design, and environmental entrepreneurship. Mullen has appeared on the national public TV series, American Environmental Review and frequently appears in the print media. Mullen also worked in public affairs as a grass-roots lobbyist, fundraiser, and spokesperson where he appeared on ABC World News Tonight, CNN and other programs. He holds a B.S. degree from the College of Engineering at Penn State University and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is the vice president of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper and he also supports the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Waterkeeper Alliance. Mullen with his wife Jennifer and son Jack enjoy many activities on the water near their home in Middle River, MD, including boating, sailing, bird watching and fishing.
